Uganda safaris, planned around you
Private trips from one to ten days. We handle gorilla permits, guides, lodges and transport, and quote the whole trip before you book.
Tell us your dates and group size. We reply with a route and a price.
Uganda, planned by people who live here
Uganda packs a lot into a small country. In one trip you can walk into the Bwindi forest to sit with mountain gorillas, track chimpanzees in Kibale, drive the savannah of Queen Elizabeth National Park and take a boat to the foot of Murchison Falls. The distances are short, the guides are good, and the seasons are forgiving.
Ateker Safaris is based in Kampala. We plan every route ourselves around your dates, your group and how much walking you want, and the team that plans your trip is the team that runs it. Permits, lodges, transport and your guide are arranged before you travel, so you know what is covered before you pay.
What we arrange before you land
A safari here is a sequence of bookings that have to line up: a permit on a fixed date, a lodge near the trailhead, a guide who knows the road, a vehicle that can take it. We do that work in Kampala.
You get one itinerary, one price and one person to reach while you travel.
Gorilla permits
Permits are tied to one date and one gorilla family. We secure yours against availability and send the UWA paperwork when it is issued.
Guides
Our guides are UWA-certified and work these parks year-round. They know the trail conditions and the drive times.
Route
We build the route around drive times and trek dates. Fewer stops, more time in each park.
Price
Your quote separates what is included from what is not: lodges, park fees, permits, transport and guide.
